vnp - versioned file edit in Notepad2

SYNOPSIS

WA2LWinTools/bin/vnp [ -h | -V ]

vnp [ file... ]

DESCRIPTION

versioned file edit.

Prior to starting the Notepad2 editor, the files specified in file... are saved using the vsav(1) command internally.

This enables to use the vsav and vls commands for the edited file.

OPTIONS

-h

usage message.

-V

print program version.

file...

list of files to edit.

exit state of notepad2(1).

To enable versioned save and quick edit of the related files, the versioned save is performed as background process.

Therefore, when a long list of files is provided and you navigate very quickly to the end of the files opened with Notepad2, you might be able to edit a file before it was saved.
