System Scheduler has the facility to send emails. Before using the send email event, configure your SMTP email settings in Preferences.
Default From
Enter the email address you wish the the email to appear from. This can be any email address, but must be a valid email address format, like your.name@somewhere.com
SMTP Server
Enter the name of the SMTP server that System Scheduler should send the emails to.
Port Number
Set the port number for the SMTP server you are using, the default port is 25, however your SMTP server may have been configured to use a different port.
SMTP Authentication
If your SMTP server requires authentication then tick this box and enter your login and password details. In addition you may need to tick the option to use Secure Password Authentication if your provider uses that.
Recipients
To test your email configuration, enter a recipient and click the Send Test Email button
