Shutdown/Restart option is used to shutdown/restart either your local or a remote computer. The restart REMOTE computer option is only available on NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista/7 or Higher, the account that runs a Remote Reboot job must have sufficient rights on the remote computer for it to accept the reboot command.
Title This is the title for the event as listed in the 'View All Events' page. All Events
Computer Select either the local computer, or a remote computer (NT/2000/2003/XP/Vista or above) to shutdown/reboot. If you select the remote computer option, you need to fill in the name of the computer to be shutdown.
Restart Restart the computer after shutdown.
Shutdown If the computer has an appropriate intelligent power supply you can send the power off signal along with shutdown.
Standby Only on local computer. Will put computer into Standby mode, saving power, computer can be woken up from this.
Hibernate Only on local computer. Will put computer into Hibernate mode, saving power, computer can be woken up from this.
Force Applications To Close With a normal shutdown, windows will signal each application to close and wait for it to finish closing before shutting down. If an application has crashed or refuses to close it can prevent windows from shutting down. By selecting force applications to close windows will send all running application the terminate signal and wont wait for them confirm they have closed before shutting down.
Saving Either click the Exit button and you will be prompted to save the reminder, or click the Action menu and Save.
Scheduling Shutdown/Restart can be scheduled to check for a window run once, every minute, hour, day, month or year. See Scheduling Options for more information.
