(System Scheduler Professional Only)

 

For Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 computers you can configure System Scheduler to automatically Lock or Unlock the console when the computer is logged in.

 

Note: For MS Windows Vista/7 computers the automatic Unlock feature can not be used.

 

Title

This is the title for the event as listed in the 'View All Events' page. All Events

 

Lock

If scheduling a Lock no further configuration is required other than to schedule the Lock.

 

Unlock

To unlock the computer you need to specify a username and password.

 

System Scheduler sends keypresses to the Unlock Computer dialog in order to cause an automatic Unlock. Some keypresses such as the shortcut keys for 'Username' and 'Password' and the 'Lock' button need to be configured in the Logon Keypresses Preferences

 

Note: For Windows Vista the unlock function does not work.

Auto-Locking on Idle

You can configure the computer to automatically lock if the keyboard and mouse have been idle for so many minutes. To do this use the 'On Idle' scheduling option and specify how many minutes to wait before locking the computer.

 

Saving

Either click the Exit button and you will be prompted to save the event, or click the Action menu and Save.

 

Scheduling

Tasks can be scheduled to run once, every minute, hour, day, month or year. See Scheduling Options for more information.
